Amador Lake
SURFACE AREA: 385 acres
ELEVATION: 325 feet above sea level
DAM: Jackson Creek Dam (193 feet tall)
MANAGER: Jackson Valley Irrigation District
Lake created by building the Jackson Creek Dam over
Jackson Creek in 1965. The lake has a surface area
of about 390 acres and it is situated at an elevation
of about 325 feet above sea level.
Located just northwest of the Parde Reservoir.
Bear River Lake
Activities include boating, camping, fishing, hiking, swimming and waterskiing.
Located about 42 miles east of Jackson at 40800 Highway 88.

Camanche Lake
The north shore of the Lake Camanche Reservoir is in Amador County.
Pardee Lake
Reservoir created by building the Pardee Dam over the north fork of the Mokelumne River,
on the border between Amador County and Calaveras County, in 1929. Pardee Reservoir
is the primary source of water for the East Bay Municipal Utility District
and the water is transported there by the Mokelumne Aquaduct.
Activities include boating, camping, fishing, hiking, and swimming.
The lake's campground has two swimming pools, a cafe, and recreational vehicle
sites with full hook-ups.

Salt Springs Reservoir
The north shore of f this reservoir on the Mokulumne River is in Amador County about
30 miles northeast of Jackson but the lake itself and its
entire south shore are in Calaveras County. It is in the El Dorado
National Forest at an elevation of about 3,900 feet. The Reservoir
was created by building the Salt Springs Dam over the north fork
of the Mokelumne River in 1931. The reservoir is primarily
used for producing hydroelectricity but some recreational use
is permitted.
