Japanese Internment Camps in California

Information about the internment camps and other facilities in California used to process and confine U.S. citizens and residents during world War II.

Originally kdnown as the Tule lake Relocation Center. It was later renamed to reflect the fact that it was used to house the "most disruptive" of the war relocation centers detainees. Tule Lake has been designated California State Historical Landmark #850-2 and one of the nine historic sites included in the "World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monunent".
