When this Central California ski resort first
opened in 1959 it was called China Peak. After it
was sold in to the Snow Summit Company 1981 is was renamed Sierra Summit,
but after being sold again in 2010 it reverted
to it's original name, China Peak. China Peak
has about 1200 acres of ski terrain that is sometimes
covered by snowmaking machines.
