California Avocado Festival
Annual Downtown Carpinteria festival celebrating the avocados of Santa Barbara County. The three day festival is one of the largest festivals in California, attracting as many as 100,00 visitors. The even features avocado dishes and other foods, live music, and family activities. Usually held in October.

First Friday in Downtown Carpinteria
Monthly downtown community event held the first Friday of every month between 5 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The event features live music and other entertainment and special offers and later hours by restaurants, galleries, and shops.

Carpinteria Triathlon
Annual triathlon usually held in September. The event include an Olympic triathlon (1.5 kilometer ocean swim, 40 kilometer bike, 10 kilometer run) and a sprint triathlon (5 kilometer ocean swim, 15 kilometer bike, 5 kilometer run).
