Catalina Express provides ferry transportation to Catalina Island from the Southern California mainland harbor towns of Long Beach and Dana Point and the San Pedro Harbor neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles. All of the ferries provide transportation to the city of Avalon and the San Pedro service provides transportation to both Avalon and and the Isthmus area community of Two Harbors.

Catalina Express began as a commuter service for Catalina residents with one 60-passenger boat. As of 2018 the service was operating eight boats and providing transportation for more than a million passengers a year.
