Silver Strand Half Marathon and 5K
Annual race along the Imperial Beach Strand for runners, skaters,walkers, wheelchairs riders, and hand cyclists. The 5K running, skating, and walking event begins and ends at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza. The half marathon begins in Coronado and ends in Imperial Beach.

Imperial Beach Farmers Market
Weekly farmer's market held at Imperial Beach Pier Plaza, 10 Evergreen avenue in Imperial Beach.

U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition
Held in Imperial beach for more then 30 years, between 1980 and 2011. The U.S. Open Sandcastle Committee was disbanded after the 2011 event so the future of the competition is unknown.
