national protected areas, city parks, and parks on the edge
of Clear Lake that are managed or maintained by other agencies
or organizations.
State Parks on Clear Lake
Clear Lake State Park
Located on the south shore of Clear Lake, west of the
community of Soda Bay. The park has a visitor's center
with interpretive displays, recreational resources,
and information about the history and culture of the Clear
Lake area. Other attractions in the park include an easy
quarter mile, self-guided walking trail known as
the Indian Nature Trail, a three mile, moderately strenuous
hiking trail known as the Dorn Trail, a swimming beach,
boat docks, boat launching facilities, mooring spots,
piers, boat slips, and a marina. Overnight accommodations
are available at four campgrounds with 147 campsites for
tents and recreational vehicles. The campgrounds have bathrooms
but note that none of the camp sites have hook-ups.

Anderson Marsh State Historical Park
Natural lakefront area more then 1,000 acres in size that is
protected for both its ecology and its
Native American history. Features Pomo Indian artifacts,
foot trails, tours of an old ranch house, and the
McVicar Wildlife Sanctuary.
The four main trails in the park are the Anderson Flats Trail, the
Cache Creek Nature Trail, the Marsh Trail, and the Ridge Trail.
Popular activities in the park include visiting historic sites,
birc and wildlife viewing, hiking, and nature walks.
Located on the southeast shore of Clear Lake, adjacent
to both Clearlake City and the community of Lower Lake.
Rodman Slough
This slough off the northwest end of Clear Lake is a popular destination
for birdwatching and kayaking and it can also be access by boat from
Clear Lake by passing under a bridge on the Nice-Lucerne Cutoff Road.
A 440 acre natural area and ranch site known as the
Rodman Slough Preserve
is managed by the Lake County Land Trust.
The slough is also the site of the 40 acre
Rodman Slough County Park, which has a primitive boat launch,
hiking, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, swimming, and picnic tables.

EAST SHORE PARK
Austin Park
20 acre city park with sports fields, a skate park, a playground, restrooms, and a picnic area.
Activities include lake swimming, field sports, stunt skating, biking, and paddling
canoes and kayaks.
Located on the east shore of Clear Lake at 14077 Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake City.
Park is maintained by the City of Clearlake.
NORTH SHORE PARK
Alpine Park
1.5 acre park with a picnic area, barbecues, restrooms, and a playground.
Activities in the park include birding, fishing, lake swimming and paddling
canoes and kayaks. Located on the north shore of Clear Lake at 5985 East Highway 20
in the town of Lucerne. The park is not an official county park but it is
maintained by Lake County.
NORTH SHORE PARK
Lucerne Harbor Park and Art Center
1 acre park with a boat launch, fishing pier, playground, picnic area,
restrooms, and an artist center with four galleries.
Located on the north shore of Clear Lake at 6225 East Highway 20 in the town of Lucerne.
The park is not an official county park but it is maintained by Lake County.
WEST SHORE PARK
Lakeside County Park (south shore north of Kelseyville)
53 acre county park with a boat launch, sports field, horseshoe pit,
restrooms, picnic area, and barbecues. Activities include boating,
fishing, birdwatching, lake swimming, playing horseshoes, and field sports.
Located at 1985 Park Drive in the city of Lakeport.
The park is maintained by Lake County.
WEST SHORE PARK
Library Park
3 acre city park with a boat launch, docks, gazebo, playground,
restrooms, RV dumping site, picnic area, and barbecues. Activities
include boating, fishing, picnics, lake swiming, and
dumping recreational vehicle waste.
Located on the west shore of Clear Lake at
222 Park Street in the city of Lakeport.
The park is maintained by the City of Lakeport.
