Information vor visitors to Bass Lake in Madera County, California.
Bass Lake is a reservoir about four miles long that is
located about an hour north of the city of Fresno and about
fifteen miles south of the south entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Bass Lake was created when the Crane Valley Dam was built across
Willow Creek in 1910 by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
It is a warm water lake with summer temperatures sometimes
reaching 80 degrees.
