186 mile passenger train route operated by Amtrak.
The route connects the city of San Jose in Santa Clara County
with the California state capital city of Sacramento.
There is also one train a day that runs through the eastern
suburbs of Sacramento to the city of Auburn in Placer County
gold country.
The Capital Corridor is administered by the
Capital Corridor Joint Powers Authority.
