Plumas County Museum
Indoor and outdoor museum featuring an exhibit yard, an
industrial history wing, contemporary cultural displays,
and the Andrew Lynch Memorial Garden.
The industrial wing of the museum features exhibits related to the
railroad history, lumber history, gold mining history
of the county and the Chinese influence on the region.
The yard includes mining and logging equipment and wagons
and daily living equipment and items used by local pioneers.

Organization established in 1971 to preserve, protect,
and promote the history of Plumas County through the
Plumas County Museum.
Plumas-Eureka State Park Mining Museum
State park museum preserving and displaying the history
of the 1800's gold rush history of California. Features
a miner's bunkhouse, the Mohawk Stamp Mill, the Buishman
Five Stamp Mill, stables, a blacksmith shop, the mine office,
and a miner's home known as Moriarity House.
the Site has been designated a California State Historic Landmark #196.
The state historic marker commemorates the local mining areas
of Jamison City, Eureka Mills, Johnstown, and Eureka Mine.
Located west of Blairsden and Graegle, about 60 miles north
of Lake Tahoe, within Plumas-Eureka State Park.
Western Pacific Railroad Museum
Museum operated by the Feather River Rail Society
that preserves the history of the Western Pacific Railroad.
Exhibits include diesel, electric, and steam locomotives,
passenger cars, freight cars, maintenance cars, and cabooses,
many of which can be boarded by visitors. The museum
also offers opportunities for visitors to be a train engineer
for an hour after being given on-ground instructions (popular program
that usually must be reserved months in advance).
