Brannan Island State Recreation Area
California state recreation area featuring a maze of waterways
through the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The pakr
has islands, marshes, and other wildlife habitats
and activities include camping, fishing, boating, wildsurfing,
and swimming. Located at 7645 State Highway 160 in Rio Vista.

Sandy Beach County Park
Riverside Solano County park with
a boat launch, camp sites, and picnic areas. The park
also has a sandy beach but no swimming is allowed
because of strong river currents and sudden drop-offs.
Popular activities include boating, fishing, jet-skiing,
windsurfing, sailing, sunbathing on the beach,
and playing horseshoes and sand volleyball.
The park is located at 2333 Beach Drive, just south of Rio Vista.
Museums
Rio Viasta Museum
Museum opened in October of 1975 to display
local history artifacts gathered together as
part of the city's observation of the
U.S. Bicentennial in 1976.
The museum is located at 16 North Front Street in Rio Vista.
