Calaveras County Museum Complex
Museum situated at the Old Government Center featuring the original county courthouse, the hall of records the jail yard wall, and the Odd Fellows Building. Exhibits are related to the region's gold mining, Native American, Chinese, and pioneer history. Located at 30 North Main Street in Downtown San Andreas.

Alex Qu8inones Community Park
Community park with a disc golf course, three baseball fields, horseshoe pits, and picnic tables. Located at 999 Park Drive. Managed by the San Andreas Recreation and Parks District.

Turner Park
Park owned by Calaveras County that is managed by the San Andreas Recreation and Parks District. Facilities and amenities icnlude a skate park, horsehoe pits, a childrens playground, a gezebo, picnic tables, and barbecues. Located at 287 Treat Avenue.

San Andreas Town Hall
Facility available for rent with an upstairs central hall that can accommodate nearly 300 people, a downstairs meeting area that can accommodate about 50 people, a restaurant quality downstairs kitchen, and a full stage downstairs with changing rooms and side areas for scenery changes. LANDMARK NAME: San Andreas Historic District

STATE OF CALIFORNIA DESCRIPTION:
Settled by Mexicans in 1848 and named after the Catholic parish St. Andreas, the town has been a noted mining camp since early days. Gold from the surrounding ancient river channels and placer mines contributed greatly to the success of the Union during the Civil War. The first newspaper was published here on September 24, 1846. Destroyed by fire June 4, 1858, and in 1863, San Andreas became the seat of Calaveras County in 1866. It was said to be a rendezvous for Joaquin Murieta. notorious stage robber Black Bart was tried here and sent to prison.

LANDMARK NAME: Pioneer Cemetery

LOCATION: Highway 12, about 1.8 miles west of San Andreas
STATE OF CALIFORNIA DESCRIPTION:
Pioneer cemetery was said to have been established in 1851. Most of the graves are unmarked. Stones appeared over only three of them in 1936. This cemetery is located almost opposite where the town of North Branch originally stood, before the site was mined for gold.
