Cambria
Cambria is a popular visitor destination
because of its charming and historic
inland valley village, Moonstone Beach Park,
its hillside, pine forest lodges, and its
waterfront hotels across the road from the beach.
Located south of San Simeon Bay and
Hearst Castle, and immediately
south of San Simeon State Park.
Cayucos
Casual beach resort town situated on Estero Bay,
between Cambria and Morro Bay. Attractions
in Cayocus include Cayucos State beach, a fishing
pier, and neary Whale Rock Reservoir.
Morro Bay
Morro Bay is easily identifiable as you fly over or
drive along the California coast because of
Morro Rock, an iconic landmark in the bay,
and the smoke stacks of the Morro Bay Power Plant.
Home of Morro Bay State Park, the Elfin forest Preserve,
and the Morro Coast Audubon Society Sweet Springs
Nsture Preserve. Montana de Oro State Park is located
just south of Morro Bay.
Avila Beach
Small beach community on San Luis Obispo Bay
that is located between Morro Bay
and Pismo Beach. Probably most well known
for its several hot springs resorts. Local attractions
include Avila State Beach,
the Avila Beach fishing pier
and the San Luis Lighthouse.
Shell Beach
Small coastal community in northern Pismo Beach.
Ome of the luxurious Dolphin Bay Resort and
several coastal parks, including the3 Palasades
Bluff Walkway, Spyglass Park, Seacliff Park,
Eldwayen Ocean Park, Margo Dodd Park,
and Dinosaur Caves Park.
Pismo Beach
One of the only places in California where
it is possible to drive on the beach.
Popular activities include digging for clams
on the beach and dune buggy riding.
