Cache Creek Natural Area
Natural area that includes more then 70,000 acres of
land managed by the U.S. Bureau of land Management
and about 4,700 acres managed by the State of California
and the County of Yolo. Elevation ranges from
a low of 600 feet to a high of 3,200 feet above sea level.
Activities include fishing, hiking, hunting, horseback riding,
river running, and plant and wildlife viewing.
Note that no motor vehicles are allowed within the area,
no target shooting is allowed,
and there are no developed camp sites.

323 acre park located along Mace Boulevard, about
3.5 miles south of Davis.

Located within Northstar Park in the city of Davis.
Formerly known as the North Area Drainage Pond.

Dunnigan Parks
Dunnigan Community Park
Small community park with a children's playground, half
basketball court, picnic tables, a parking lot, and
portable toilets.
Located on County Road 89-A in Dunnigan.
Esparto Parks
Esparto Community Park
Four acre community park with grassy areas, a children's playground,
picnic tables, a barbecue, and toilets.
Located at 17001 Yolo Avenue in Espasrto.
Guinda Parks
Vernon Nichols Park
22 acre park situated on the edge of Cache Creek.
Facilities include a beach and swimming area,
a baseball field, the
Will Baker Native Plant Garden, a children's playground,
picnic tables, barbecues, and portable toilets.
Note that Nicols Park has no drinking water.
Located at 17195 County Road 57 in Guinda.
Rumsey Parks
Cache Creek Regional Park
800 acre regional park located about six miles north of the town of Rumsey.
The park has three sections: Cache Creek Upper Park,
Cache Creek Middle Park and Campground, and
Cache Creek Lower Park
Cache Creek Regional Park Campground
Located at 1475 California State Highway 16 in Rumsey
Camp Haswell Park
Old boy scout camp situated on the edge of Cache Creek.
The park has no drinking water, portable toilets
are available during the summer months only, and no
overnight camping is allowed.
Often used as a launch site for river rafting and floating trips.
Located about 2 miles north of Rumsey at 1999 Highway 16.
Valley Vista Regional Park
Natural area about 580 acres in size with a steep hiking trail
and views of the Capay Valley. Note that this park has very limited facilities.
It has one picnic table at the top of the lower ridge and a parking lot
but no toilets or drinking water.
Situated across the road from Camp Haswell.
Located at 1999 Highway 16 in Rumsey.
West Sacramento Parks
Elkhorn Regional Park
55 acre park situated on the berm between the Sacramento River and the levee.
Facilities include a boat ramp, a picnic area, and a parking lot.
Activities in the park include fishing, boating, picnics, birding, and viewing plants and wildlife.
Located at 18989 Old River Road in West Sacramento, about
1.75 miles south of the point where Highway I-5 crosses the
Sacramento River.
Winters Parks
Putah Creek Fishing Access Park
150 acre park on the north side of Putah Creek, about seven miles
west the town of Winters.
The park has five separate entry points that are frequently
used for access to fishing spots in Putah Creek.
Park facilities include fishing platforms, nature trails,
picnic tables, and toilets. Located at 24135 Highway 128.
The organization
Putah Creek Trout volunteers their time
to keep the creek clean and healthy for trout.
Woodland Parks
Wild Wings Park
17 acre open space park with creek access.
Located within the Wild Wings gated residential community.
The general public an access the park during daylight hours
at the intersection of State Highway 16 and Wild Wings Drive.
Located in the Wild Wings development in the city of Woodland.

Based in Woodland
Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area
16,600 acres
Yolo Basin Foundation
Organization founded in 1990 as a community based organization to assist in the
establishment of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area.
