San Diego International Airport (SAN)
One of the busiest single-runway commercial airports in the World, offering more then 500 departures and arrivals per day and serving more then 16 million passengers in 2011. Focus airport for Southwest Airlines. Other airlines with the most flights in and out of San Diego Airport include United Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and Alaska Airlines. McClellan-Palomar Airport (CLD)
Used mostly for general aviation but United Express began running commercial flights to and from Los Angeles Airport in September of 2009. A new airline based at Palomar Airport was launched in 2012 and they expect to eventually operate flights between Palomar and Cabo San Lucas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Sacramento, and San Jose in 2013. Located in Northern San Diego County coastal town of Carlsbad, about 3 miles southeast of the center of town. More commonly known as simply Palomar Airport.

Situated at an elevation of about 520 feet above sea level, about 1.5 miles north of the Mexican border and about 13 miles southeast of Downtown San Diego, in the Otay Mesa community of San Diego.
